The name 6600 Slide is definitely not new, since it’s a model that Nokia has already launched. But now, the company has launched an upgraded model, the 6600i Slide, featuring a 5 Megapixel photocamera with double LED flash. It measures 93 x 45 x 14mm and weighs 100 grams, with a 2.2″ display with the resolutino of 240×320 pixels, and viewing more than 16 million colors.

The connectivity is done through the UMTS protocol, and the internal 18MB memory is expandable through microSD cards (the package includes a 1GB card). It should be sold for €200, minus taxes.

One of the tendencies this year is to create new entry-level models, and Nokia hasn’t been different. The company has presented three new entry-level devices, labeled 2720, 2730 and 7020, all featuring the Ovi Mail and Nokia Life Tools services.

The Nokia 2720 is a clamshell model with a display that has the resolution of 120×160 pixels and a 1.3 Megapixel photocamera. The 2730 is a candybar with a 2″ display with the resolution of 320×240 pixels and support to 3G networks. And the 7020 is another clamshell, with a 2.2″ display, FM radio and 2 Megapixel photocamera.

We’ll leave you to the images of the models. Enjoy!

Recently, we’ve seen a decrease in popularity of those so-called clamshell cellphones, when compared to the slidephones. In the USA, however, they seem to be still rather popular, and Nokia has recently given exclusivity to AT&T for their new 6750 Mural.

There aren’t many details about this model yet, but it will have two screens, multimedia keys on the case, 2 Megapixel photocamera and an internal memory expandable through microSD. It should be launched sometime this year, in exclusive for the American market.

    Pros:

    - Bluetooth
    - Wi-Fi
    - IrDA
    - HSDPA
    - Internal Memory

    Cons:

    - No GPS
    - Photocamera could be better
    - Phonebook isn’t very organized
    - Rather delicate model

    Conclusion:

The Nokia E51 is probably one of the models that offers the best price/performance ratio, even if perhaps the design isn’t one of the most fascinating. It features all the possible connectivity solutions, also VoIP support, and its internal memory (which is expandable) makes it a rather good model for a business use.
