The internet is always releasing new rumors and anticipations, like this time, the first image of the Nokia 3720, a new model that Nokia will launch on September. The device has a candybar design and was build to resist damage and water.

The technical specifications are still unknown, but will probably be rather simple since the device is an entry-level. The first carrier to announce the mobile on their list is T-Mobile, for a price that is still not known.

Nokia is aiming more and more towards OVI, the platform that connects the Nokia cellphones to internet. The services include music, games, software and a virtual Store, not to mention file sharing for video and pictures.

The suites for the device management on the Computer are different. The free “made in Nokia” ones are three: Nokia PC Suit, Nokia Nseries PC Suite and Nokia OVI Suite. It seems the latter will be better used by Nokia, as it will allow the integration wtih all the services above mentioned, and also offer all the interesting features used by users with other programs.

The Nokia Beta Labs have announced the future version of Ovi Suite 2.0, compatible only with Windows for now. It’s a beta version, and we don’t really know the official launch date yet, but we will be tuned. In the meantime, watch the video above about the OVI Suite 2.0.

According to what was reported by Technology Review, Nokia would be working in the development of a technology that allows the cellphone to recharge themselves through radio waves in the surrounding environment. The electromagnetic radiation is around us daily from routers, Wi-Fi, TV antennae and cellphones.

In the Nokia projects, the energy on those waves could be converted into electricity useful enough to at least keep the cellphone battery constant. Markku Rouvala, one of the researchers from the Nokia Research Centre in Cambridge, has declared that his group is working on building a prototype that that is capable of retrieving 50 mW from the electromagnetic waves, necessary to recharge a cellphone, even if slowly. The main basis is the same from the RFID technologies, capable of converting an electromagnetic signal into an electrical signal, by using passive circuits.

However, experts say that a 50 mW goal is a little difficult at the moment, and most seem rather skeptical about it.

It’s been talked about in the past few days: the new concept that Nokia would be working on is called Nokia Morph, and its idea is extraordinary, to say the least. Whether it will ever be on the market or not, it’s yet to be seen, but according to a press-release, the development of this brilliant new cellphone model has already started. It’s a flexible device built thanks to the nanotechnology, that would enable users to model their cellphone in any ways they want.

Nokia talked about revolution on this device, which was first presented on at the MoMA in New York. And the keyword is the technological advance. The main points on this future concept: transparent electronic devices, auto-cleaning surfaces, low battery consumption and ambient detection.

When it’ll be available and how much it will cost, it’s still unknown. But the press release mentions technologies that will be integrated on other devices during the next seven years. So we will have to wait and see. The idea is fantastic and it’s definitely worth the wait.

Nokia has recently announced two new models to their product list: The E72 and the 5530 XpressMusic. Many peole though that the E71’s form-factor would have disappeared from Nokia’s line-up witht he launch of the E75, but the E72 certainly dismisses that thought. The confirmation was done officially

The 5530 XpressMusic is the “economic” successor of the Nokia 5800, while the E72 will feature a 5 Megapixel photocamera, 3.5mm Jack, HSDPA, digital compass and optical navigation pad. The launch is scheduled for the third quarter of 2009.
